| It's so hard to believe that Les Gourmets is almost here! Little more than a month until the actual event and the Human Resources team has begun their countdown. The tuxes are ordered and dresses are in while the uniforms are being measured and ordered, too. The open house was held this past week and it's great to say we have nearly 160 volunteers for this year's event, and the number is still growing! We are starting to plan the training dates are getting the details set so that the event can go off without flaw. One of the greatest things about being on the HR team for the event is that it has given me insights into each department. Allowing me to see the teams work together, come up with compromises and execute ideas that are going to bring the event to life. Being on the HR team has combined my passion for people while giving me a real world example of how staffing, planning and training of a real management team would work. As the event draws nearer and nearer, so does my excitement grow. A year of planning and it comes down to one night: a night of friends, memories, and a true taste of the Mediterranean. This has honestly been one of the best groups of people I have been granted the opportunity to work with. I know that each of us, in our own way, is making a difference, and it will be exemplified in how great this year's Les Gourmets will be. |
