KAT CRAWFORD

Kat Crawford is a Senior at MSU, majoring in both Hospitality Business and Psychology with a minor in Spanish. She joined Les Gourmets in her Sophomore year as a HOH Supervisor. Last year, she served as the HOH Director, and now she is ecstatic to take on the role of CEO. Outside of Les Gourmets, Kat is also very involved in the MSU CMAA Student Chapter, this year serving as the CFO. Over the course of her college career, Kat has interned at Bald Peak Colony Club in Melvin Village, NH, Cowles House at Michigan State University, The Country Club in Brookline, MA, and Kellogg Catering at Michigan State University. She is so excited to spend her last year here with her LG family and is so excited for the adventures to come!

DELANEY NIKOLAI

Delaney is a senior from Williamston, MI. She grew up bleeding green and is thrilled to serve as the CFO for Les Gourmets during her senior year here at Michigan State University. She spent her summer as a food and beverage supervisor at Indian Hill Club for her internship. She cannot wait to see the grand opening of Studio 67 this year!

OLIVIA JEWELL

Olivia Jewell is a senior at Michigan State University and this is her 4th year with Les Gourmets! After volunteering as a freshman, she spent 2 years in the Human Resources department and is currently the Chief Operating Officer of this year's board. Olivia’s first internship was with Conference Chicago at University Center. Although she had a wonderful experience, she learned that her heart belongs to Northern Michigan. So, this summer Olivia lived in Harbor Springs, MI and interned with the front office and auditing departments at Boyne Highlands Resort. She gained a significant amount of applicable lodging experience over the course of her internship and is looking forward to a new adventure in the hospitality industry post-graduation. Olivia knows the 67th Les Gourmets will be the best yet because of the dedication and resourcefulness she’s already seen from the work of this year’s executive board. She can’t wait to watch the event fully develop.

SHELBY HIBBARD

Shelby Hibbard is a Senior in The School of Hospitality Business at MSU and is from Williamston, Michigan. Last year she served as an Arts and Entertainment Supervisor for Les Gourmets. This year, she is Co-Director of Reception. Shelby is currently working at the MSU James B. Henry Center for Executive Development as a Sales Intern. She is looking forward to starting a career in hotel or resort management after graduation. She is so excited for what this year has to offer and she knows it will be the most exciting Les Gourmets event yet!

KATIE BROWN

Katie Brown is a senior from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is expecting to graduate in May of 2018 with a degree from The School of Hospitality Business. Last year, Katie was the Assistant Director of Front of House and she is excited to be serving as the Co-Director of Reception for this year’s event! This past summer she had the opportunity to study abroad in Oslo, Norway. Outside of Les Gourmets, Katie is the Co-Director of Marketing, Social Media, and Technology for Destination Auction, an active member in Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity, and loves to volunteer at Career Expo. She is excited to continue her involvement on the 2018 Executive Board and contribute to making this an unforgettable night.

MADY CARLSON

Mady Carlson is a Senior this year in The School of Hospitality Business. Mady is excited about her role as the Director of Marketing, and really enjoyed her role as Assistant Director of Donations last year on the Les Gourmets Executive Board. She completed both of her internships in The Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center. Mady is hoping to work in the hotel segment of the industry after she graduates. She is excited to work with the theme of Studio 67 this year.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

 

MORGAN WHEELER

Morgan is currently a Senior in The School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University, additionally, she is minoring in Real Estate Investment Management. After volunteering for Les Gourmets her freshman year, Morgan developed a passion for the lavish black-tie event. The following year, she received a position on the Executive Board as Co-Director of Donations. At that position Morgan developed a better understanding of the Les Gourmets event as well as developing concrete time management and organization skills. Since Morgan spent her last semester in the Netherlands she was unable to be apart of the planning of last years event. Though while she was abroad, Morgan took on every opportunity to better understand the world around her, traveling to 10 different countries and 23 cities! This understanding has manifested itself in her strong interest of travel and determined mindset to never stop learning. After returning from abroad, Morgan spent her summer managing at The Colonnade Hotel’s Rooftop Pool in her hometown of Boston.

MARIAM NASER

Mariam is a Senior in The School of Hospitality Business and is expected to graduate, Summer '18. This is her second year on the executive board for Les Gourmets, previously brought on as Supervisor of Marketing. This year, she is Director of Human Resources for both, Les Gourmets and The School's premier fundraising event, Destination Auction. Mariam completed her Level II Internship at The Henry Ford Museum as the Intern Manager of Food and Beverage in her hometown, Dearborn, MI. Most of her experience is in Food and Beverage but she enjoys different aspects of hospitality business and looks forward to expanding her experience.

JESSICA LANGENEKER

Jessica Langeneker is a junior in The School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State. She is one of the Assistant Directors of Human Resources for Les Gourmets 2018. This is her first year being involved in Les Gourmets but she is excited to be a part of an already amazing premier annual dinner event. This past summer she completed an internship at Bavarian Inn Restaurant in Frankenmuth as a server. In this position she took on a role as a leader as well as learning new skills and insights into serving guests and catering to their specific needs! She learned so much about the restaurant industry and what it takes to create a memorable experience for every guest. She is looking forward to applying my knowledge from serving into Les Gourmets 2018!

CHLOE LEE

Chloe Lee is the Assistant Director of Human Resources this year. She is a Junior from Seoul, South Korea. Chloe has worked in Front of House for Entertainment Cruises in Chicago, IL, Food and Beverage Internship for Aspen Meadows Resort in Aspen, CO, Front Desk Rotation at Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center. She is currently interested in Marketing!

MACKENZIE NICHOLS

Mackenzie is a senior in The School of Hospitality Business, from Bay City, MI. This will be her fourth year involved in Les Gourmets and her third year on e-board. This year she is the Director of Arts & Entertainment is so excited to bring Studio 67 to life!! In the past, she has been a part of reception but is excited to branch out and implement some of the skills she learned during her internship this past summer. She spent the summer in Bay Harbor, MI, working as an Event Coordinator for the Bay Harbor Yacht Club. She will be graduating this upcoming May and hopes to pursue a career in Corporate Event Planning. In addition to being involved in Les Gourmets, Mackenzie is also a part of the MSU Dance Team. Go Green!!

SIENA SAPIO

Siena Sapio will fulfill the role of Arts & Entertainment Director for Les Gourmets 2018. Siena is a junior majoring in Hospitality Business with a specialty in Food and Beverage. She grew up in the city of Fort Collins, Colorado, and is so grateful to be studying at Michigan State University. She was a supervisor for Les Gourmets last year, making this the second time she will be working in the Arts & Entertainment department. She is excited to apply the skills she learned at her internship this past summer at Noyac Golf Club to make the 67th edition of Les Gourmets the best one yet!

MADISON SKORNICKA

This is Madison Skornicka and she is a junior this year in The School of Hospitality Business. She is from Birmingham, MI where she worked this past summer at Roberts Restaurant Group as a Managerial Intern. The previous summer of 2017 she worked at Bay Harbor Yacht Club as a Food and Beverage Intern. She is on the Executive Board for Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) and CAREER EXPO. Madison is extremely excited to be the Director of Donations this year for her third Les Gourmets and hopes it will be the best one yet.

RACHEL POWELL

Freshman Rachel Powell is thrilled to be involved in Les Gourmetsas one of the assistant directors for donations. While she misses the great state of Texas, she wouldn’t trade her Hospitality Business major and minor in Environmental and Sustainable Studies for all the barbecue and sunshine in the world. She has loved diving into the MSU community and getting involved in as much as humanly possible. When she is not doing her job in Les Gourmets, she can be found cheering on the Spartans or looking at pictures of giraffes and corgis.

NICK MARSHALL

Nick Marshall is a Junior in Michigan State University’s The School of Hospitality Business.  He grew up in the small town of Allen, Michigan. This year he's serving as a Co-Director of the Front of House.  Although most of his experience is in the kitchen, this summer he worked in Chicago for Lettuce Entertain You.  Nick spent most of his weekends working in Lettuce’s SUB51 Bottle Club.  In addition to Les Gourmets, Nick serves on the Career Expo board and is a chef at the University Club.  He’s very excited to make Les Gourmets - Studio 67 a hit!

MACKENZIE SAPPE

Mackenzie Sappe is a junior, studying Hospitality Business. She is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. Mackenzie first joined Les Gourmets as a Front of House Supervisor her freshman year. Due to her study abroad, Mackenzie was unable to be a part of the LG board last year, however, she is thrilled to return as Co-Director of Front of House. Along with Les Gourmets, Mackenzie is also a part of the Career Expo board, serving as Director of Professional Development Programs. This past summer, Mackenzie interned at the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore. She has a passion for Food and Beverage and is excited to help create a truly memorable event.

JULIANNA PANNONE

Julianna is a junior in The School of Hospitality. from Cresskill, New Jersey about ten minutes from New York City. She volunteered with Les Gourmets last year and is super excited about being Assistant Director of Front of House. This is her second year as a hospitality business major, and she was a kinesiology major before. She is also apart of CMAA. Julianna is interested in club management, and the hotels and lodging segment in the industry.

CAMERON A. THOMAS

Cameron A. Thomas is the Heart of House Director for Les Gourmets 2018. He is from Kent, Ohio and a 2nd Year Graduate Student. Cameron had an internship Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises in Chicago, IL this past summer. One interesting thing about Cam is that he rides his bike from downtown Lansing most days, and cooks his food from scratch in his apartment!

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF HEART OF HOUSE

 

NATE KAMAL

Nate Kamal is a fifth year senior who transferred from Schoolcraft College after playing basketball there for two years. At MSU Nate has decided to study Hospitality Business in pursuit of a career in the restaurant industry. Last year Nate volunteered for Les Gourmets as a fruit carver and is ecstatic to be the Assistant Heart of House Director for this year's event. Nate is also the Vice President of the Society of Hospitality Food Service and will be the TA for HB 345L Spring 2018. Nate has been working in every area of the kitchen since he started at MSU in Fall 2015 at the Kellogg Center with the exception of last summer where he worked at Boyne Mountain Resorts in the kitchen of the Beach House Restaurant. He is excited to be a part of this F&B team and is lookingforward to our disco dinner!
